At Body Centric Wellness we collect and process personal data, including information about your health. All such data will be kept confidential. It will be collected, processed, and stored in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, 2018). This law requires us to inform you regarding what data we collect, how and why we process it, how we store it, how long we retain it, and how we protect it. We also need to inform you about your rights in relation to your data.

1. Data Controller:

The Data Controller is Mohammed Jibran, the owner of Body Centric Wellness.

2. Why we require personal data:

We require personal data to provide you with our services (Advanced BioStructural Correction™ care). For this purpose, we need to process personal data, including contact details and data relating to your health. Any such data is subject to confidentiality. The collection of this data is a prerequisite for commencing your care with us. Should you object to your data being collected, we regretfully will not be able to take you on as a patient.

3. Data Storage:

We only keep your data for as long as necessary. Legal requirements state that this means we need to retain your data for eight (8) years after your care with us ends. For children, we need to retain the data until the patient’s 25th birthday, or 26th if an entry was made when the patient was 17. Invoicing details must be retained for eight (8) years as well, as per HMRC requirements.

4. Consent to Data Processing:

With your signature you consent to your data being processed by Body Centric Wellness for the purpose of Advanced BioStructural Correction™ care. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. This, however, will have no effect on 3. above. If you revoke your consent, future treatment will not be possible at our office.

5. Data Transfer to Third Parties:

We do not pass your data on to any third party companies nor any of our suppliers. There may be times when it is necessary to communicate with other healthcare experts, other ABC™ providers, or mentors in order to provide the highest standard of care. This will be discussed with you if the need arises.

6. Consent to Communication:

With your signature you consent to us contacting you by email, telephone, or post regarding your care and appointment schedule. We will not contact you for any form of direct marketing.

7. Use of Photographs:

It is understood that photographs will be taken by the practitioner and used to show progress throughout the care process. The patient’s face may be visible in these photographs. A copy of the photographs will be emailed to the patient. By agreeing to the treatment we assume you agree to grant consent to the photographs being used in the manner indicated;

  • No consent other than for the purpose of treatment.
  • Use within Body Centric Wellness’ (our) premises (e.g. on walls in the waiting area).
  • Use outside Body Centric Wellness’ premises. This may include printed materials or PowerPoint slides (e.g. flyers, posters, at talks and promotional events)
  • Use on Body Centric Wellness’ website
  • Use on Social Media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram)

Of course if you are not happy to consent to or photos being shared or published please clearly indicate this to us. We can also obscure your face or identifying features if need be.

Photographs can be emailed directly from within our posture capture software. Emails will be transferred via a server located in the United States but will not be stored there.

8. Your Rights:

You may alter, amend or cancel any or all of the above consents by giving written notice to Renew Your Body to take effect from the date or receipt of such notice. You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you. You have the right to have your data updated or amended. You furthermore have the right to have certain data erased, unless we are required by law to retain it for a certain period of time. If you revoke your consent to your data being processed by Renew Your Body, you will not be able to receive further care at our office. You furthermore have the right to make a complaint to the ICO if you feel that the processing of your data at our office is not lawful. The contact details of the ICO are listed above, under 1.

9. Legal Basis for Data Processing:

The legal basis for how we process your data includes GDPR 2018, the Human Rights Act 1998, the Common Law Duty of Confidentiality, and the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
