Why Am I Hurting and Always So Tired?
Body hurting and always tired? The chances are you have one or more of the symptoms listed in the image above. These are becoming all too common these days, especially as we age. But is it normal and just a part of getting older? Not really. Just because something is common does not make it normal and just because something IS normal doesn’t mean it will be commonplace.
Being bi-pedal creatures gives us great advantages over others. For instance, we can emulate the balance and agility, speed and power, grace and dexterity of most animals. Just think of the great Olympic athletes, martial artists, gymnasts and acrobats. Humans can do some amazing things (when functioning well)! So where is the problem?
Sometimes a strength can also become a weakness. Being bi-pedal gives great scope and expanse for mobility as mentioned earlier, however, there is a downside. Ask yourself why we use a tripod with three legs and furniture and tables with four legs? Simple…for stability of course. Conversely although being bi-pedal offers the benefits it does, it does however lack the stability having more legs offers.
This would not be as big an issue if we all had perfect posture allowing us to stay upright without effort. This may be contrary to conventional thought but indeed, there should be zero effort required to stand upright.
Over the course of our lives we accumulate various injuries that can misalign our bones resulting in a crooked posture. There are two category of misaligned bones however. One being those that our bodies correct all by themselves and we don’t really notice them and the second is those that our bodies CANNOT self-correct because it has no means to do so. These are the ones that cause us problems.
When left uncorrected the problems become exacerbated as we do our everyday tasks. The kinds of injuries in question are thought of as everyday occurrences; tripping, falling, bumping your head etc. Even a minute misalignment is enough to create a sort of chain reaction throughout your body meaning it won’t function quite as well as it did before.

Examine the image above. Notice how when the dog walks it always has at least two of its legs on the ground. This gives it greater stability. As we humans walk, we shift our weight from one leg to the other. This shifting of weight and force creates instability and channels torque (twisting force) through our spines with every step. Combined with a crooked posture due to injuries this causes further crookedness as our bodies fall forwards (explained in further detail in another post).
This ‘falling’ triggers our body’s compensation mechanism which automatically recruits more muscles to keep us from falling over and maintain balance. Since we fall forwards most of the effort has to come from the posterior kinetic chain (muscles at the back our bodies) such as neck, back (lower back in particular), hamstrings, calves and even our feet.

‘The straw that broke the camel’s back’ is quite fitting in this scenario. It demonstrates how it is not one straw (or in our case one injury) that causes our breakdown but rather a culmination of several on top of each other. The final one simply tips us over the edge as we can no longer bear the strain of the collective injuries. It is this need of your muscles having to progressively work harder and harder to allow you to stand, walk, run etc. that causes soreness and pain.
Joint pain occurs due to incorrect mechanics or movement of the joint. As the frame/posture is crooked the joint cannot function correctly. Abnormal movement will aggravate and inflame the joint(s). Coupled with overworked muscles this is a vast drain on your body resources making you feel tired more often.
In addition, this can even affect your various bodily systems as you fall forwards onto your organs and compress them. Digestive issues like IBS, breathing problems like asthma and heart issues due to a compressed chest are just a few examples. The longer this destructive pattern continues the worse you get.
The solution to all these problems is your posture. By restoring and correcting your body posture we help your body function as it should. This is possible with Advanced BioStructural Correction™ (ABC™). We are one of very few clinics in the UK trained in ABC™ which has been found to be the only method that can truly correct your posture to how it should be.
Other methods of therapy such as chiropractic, osteopathy, physiotherapy, massage and even various posture devices are available. However, through extensive testing and research it can be shown that posture devices/braces, exercises, stretching, massage, movement drills, etc. all can change posture, but not correct posture. All these methods do is either provide temporary relief to the overworked muscles by treating the compensations or encourage you to arch yourself straighter rather than return your posture back to ideal.
When posture is corrected properly and not just changed, the compensatory righting mechanism is not needed and your muscles relax all by themselves – no stretches or massage needed. Anyone using these methods for a length of time will know that to be true.
The most important thing you need to know is that the founder of ABC™ spent years researching the fastest way to provide pain relief, as well as correct your underlying problem so that it won’t come back. Dozens of chiropractic methods and techniques, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation methods were compared to find the best way to heal your body. Through personal experience I can openly say no other method even comes close to offering what ABC™ can achieve, which is true posture correction.
The feeling you get when you get proper correction is a lack of feeling – that is because your body is in neutral, the receptors in your body are also at rest. Therefore, you don’t feel anything. It’s an awesome and odd feeling – especially if you have been suffering from chronic pain and discomfort.
ABC™ has been found to give incredibly consistent and predictable improvements to your body from the very first treatment. The very first manoeuvre in fact! Some of you will have already tried lots of different therapies without success and maybe on the verge of giving up. I urge you to carry on reading these blogs as I will be explaining in greater detail what is actually happening to your body, why no one else has been able to help, and what you can do to really tackle many physical injuries; especially if you are in pain.
We offer a FREE consultation including a demo of the ‘First Rib Manoeuvre’ before you decide on proceeding with any treatment. You will feel the difference to your pain and movement right from the off.
